Two Sides
CLV, 2面DISC, 100 minutes. Two extras are included and listed on the obi as disc-only content not available on the VHS release: the 劇場用予告篇 (theatrical trailer) and a 13-minute メイキング・オブ「Song for GALL FORCE」. The second covers the production of the three insert songs performed by 鈴木聖美, LOOK, and 小比類巻かほる: three distinct mainstream J-pop acts brought in for the OVA's soundtrack, each contributing a full-length song rather than a background theme. Their names and song titles appear on the obi strip and on a separate large-format lyric insert printed in blue on white.
The package includes two additional inserts beyond the lyric sheet: the two-page エターナル・チャプター guide and the SVI LASER VISION DISC COLLECTION catalog. The chapter guide is specific to this disc. The catalog is Sony Video Software's 1986 home entertainment lineup on a single sheet.

The two-page chapter guide distributed with 00LS4001 is titled エターナル・チャプター and printed in blue on white. Its opening text states the premise: the disc has been organized so that highlight scenes can be accessed by theme using chapter search. Five categories follow. STORY CHAPTER covers the four named narrative sections (STAR FRONT / THE GIRLS ARE FEELING / HEARTBEAT OF LOVE / AFTER THE SPACE BATTLE) with chapter stops identified for both Side A and Side B. ACTION SCENE CHAPTER lists specific combat and maneuver sequences. , and others by character. CHAPTER runs three entries across Side A and Side B, each identified by character name. MUSIC CHAPTER gives the chapter number for each of the three insert songs.
The guide was written by a named commentator (野中 直) who provided scene descriptions for each entry, not just chapter numbers. Twenty-six named chapter stops in total, across five thematic categories. The シャワーシーン chapter sits between 名セリフ and MUSIC in the guide, formatted identically to both.

Artmic supplied character and mecha design to Gall Force through Sonoda Kenichi (characters) and Kakinuma Hideki (mecha). Artmic's concurrent productions in 1986 included Bubblegum Crisis (beginning production) and Megazone 23 Part II. For Gall Force, Sonoda designed seven women with color-coded hair: Eluza in red, Rabby in black, Rumy in a blonde/green combination, Lufy in short blonde with a green streak, Pony in pink, Patty in brunette, Catty in purple. Seven principal characters, no male cast in the main narrative, and each identifiable at a glance by hair alone. His name appears on the jacket as character designer and as the jacket illustrator, both roles confirmed on the same packaging.
Gall Force was his first prominent anime character design credit. He stayed at Artmic through 1991, then began manga work with Riding Bean (1989) and Gunsmith Cats serialization in Monthly Sunday GX. The design vocabulary he used here (long-limbed women, very specific hair color/length combinations, pilot suits that function as character silhouettes) appears consistently across both the anime and manga work for the following decade.

SVI, 1986
The SVI LASER VISION DISC COLLECTION catalog included with 00LS4001 is a two-sheet insert: one side a full printed catalog, the other a mail-order response card addressed to ソニービデオソフトウエアインターナショナル 第2事業部マーケティング係 at 東京都新宿区市谷砂土原町2丁目4番1号 KSビル3階. The catalog lists Sony Video Software's full 1986 home entertainment lineup: live concert recordings (矢野顕子 BROOCH, MEDIA BAHN LIVE), travel and aviation films (B-747 Super Flight, West Coast), international art films (エスペラント, 田舎の日曜日), and anime. The anime column includes Gall Force at ¥12,000, 超獣機神ダンクーガ 〜失われた者たちへの鎮魂歌〜 at ¥9,600, and 吸血鬼ハンターD at ¥9,600.
In 1986, Sony Video Software's framework for Gall Force was premium home video, not a category unto itself.

Full-page catalog listing all SVI releases: concert films, jazz and rock performances, international live-action features, and anime.
Obi strip reverse, 00LS 4001. NTSC / digital SOUND legend at top. Legal disc-care and anti-copying notices at bottom.
Later home video releases preserve the 100-minute program. The エターナル・チャプター guide distributed with 00LS4001 (the categorized viewing map, the commentary-annotated chapter stops, the shower-scene chapter between dialogue and music in the index) is specific to this pressing. So is the SVI catalog, which places ガルフォース alongside Dancougar, Vampire Hunter D, and a 矢野顕子 concert as Sony Video Software's premium home entertainment tier at ¥9,600 to ¥12,000: titles that happened to include anime.
