Contents: disc in a standard jacket with obi, plus nine non-sale AMADA-printed collector cards, L-01 through L-09. The packaging is stamped デジタル新マザー版, a fresh digital master from original film elements, for footage broadcast on Fuji TV from April 4, 1974 through May 8, 1975: 51 episodes, 東映動画 production.
The narrator is 神谷明 (Kamiya Akira), who voiced 流竜馬 (Nagare Ryoma) in the original series. The obi reads: 神谷明の魂のナレーションで贈る、永久保存版ゲッター総集編第1弾, delivered with narration from the soul of Kamiya Akira, the definitive preservation edition Getter compilation, Vol.1. LSTD01547 is part of Toei Video's 東映スーパーロボット列伝 Memorial Collection, a systematic LD compilation program that began in November 1998.
東映スーパーロボット列伝
Toei Video began the Memorial Collection in November 1998 with マジンガーZ メモリアル, followed by グレートマジンガー, デビルマン, キカイダー, and two Kamen Rider entries, each pressed to CLV LD at ¥5,800, each narrated by a lead voice actor from the original run. The series ran through at least 1999, eventually reaching セーラームーン, サイボーグ009, and 銀河鉄道999. The 東映スーパーロボット列伝 banner exists as a label for this LD series and nothing else; it does not correspond to a game franchise or parallel product line. LSTD01547 is the first Getter Robo entry. A separate release, ゲッターロボG メモリアル, covering the 1975–76 sequel series, followed in September 1999. All releases in the series share the same structure: curated highlight reel on Side 1, a retrospective special on Side 2, and nine AMADA non-sale cards in the package.

デジタル新マザー版
The obi's claim, デジタル新マザー版, indicates a fresh telecine transfer from existing film elements rather than a dub from an earlier video tape master. For material recorded in 1974 and broadcast on Fuji TV, 'new master' means Toei Video went back to whatever print or negative their archive held by 1999 and made a new transfer for this disc. The condition of that element (whether camera negative, internegative, or surviving interpositive print) determines the actual ceiling. The practical result, compared to VHS masters of the same period, is visible; the source is still analog 35mm from 25 years before the disc was pressed.

竜馬が語る
Kamiya Akira voiced 流竜馬 in April 1974, at age 22. By 1999 his credits included Kasuga Kyosuke in きまぐれオレンジ☆ロード (1987) and Ryo Saeba in シティハンター (1987–1989), his voice recognizable to an audience who had never seen the original Getter Robo run. The Memorial series assigns each release to its lead voice actor from the original production. Here, the person narrating recorded those 51 episodes across 1974 and 1975 and is now, at 47, selecting which of them to return to.
By 1999 Kamiya had already narrated the opening monologue of 真ゲッターロボ 世界最後の日 (1998 OVA): Ryoma's voice, retrospective before a final battle. LSTD01547 extends that mode across 59 minutes.

AMADA
AMADA (天田印刷加工株式会社) produced licensed anime and tokusatsu character cards from the 1970s until its dissolution in 2014: retail product sold through toy shops and candy stores, and non-sale inserts bundled with merchandise. The nine cards in LSTD01547 follow AMADA's standard spec-card structure: color front face, data back. L-01 through L-06 document the mecha: dimensions and top speed for each Getter configuration and each component vehicle. L-07 through L-09 cover the three pilots with biographical notes. The same nine-card format appears in the Devilman Memorial LD (LSTD-01537). Across the Memorial series, the AMADA cards are the only printed documentation included in the package; none of these releases contain a booklet.
The original 51 episodes became available on DVD in 2003, with a 4-volume individual release in 2005 and a new pressing in June 2021 (Toei Video DUTD06277–06280). The episodes are preserved. The Memorial compilation (the edited 59-minute selection with Kamiya's narration threading the scenes together, and the 座談会 on Side 2) was not included in or replicated by any of those releases. It also exists on VHS (VCTM-02358). What those later formats carry is the source material; what LSTD01547 carries is one specific act of selection, made in 1999, of which moments from those 51 episodes were worth returning to.
