GF1 premiered theatrically July 26, 1986. テンリトル・ガルフォース released July 3, 1988, four months before GF3 (November 1988) closed the trilogy. Its premise is a production parody: the Solnoid cast appears as miniaturized SD figures acting as crew and performers on an anime shoot, staging scenes from the mainline films with predictable chaos. 八谷賢一 directed; Akiyama Katsuhito, who directed all three mainline entries, has no credit here. The same three studios handled production, and 園田健一's character designs carry over without modification at smaller scale.

At the time of release, five of the ten characters on the front jacket were dead. Eluza, Rabby, Pony, Rumy, and Patty were all killed in GF1. Three others (Shildy, Amy, Spea) had not yet appeared in any released GF production; they're GF3-original characters with their mainline debut four months away. The spinoff treats none of this as a precondition for being on the front jacket.

Three sticker sheets, each printed on both sides and folded to jacket size. The front of each sheet has four amber-ground panels, one per character, with color illustration and THE TEN LITTLE GALL FORCE logo. The reverse carries the same four characters in blue monochrome line art on white, with a full-length standing pose and a COMMENT text block per character. Amber front, blue reverse, four per sheet, three sheets: twelve panels total, with Rabby and a content image grid occupying the remaining two positions on Sheet 3.

Sheet 2 pairs Eluza and Amy on adjacent panels. In the mainline, Eluza's self-sacrifice in GF1's final sequence enables the survival of Solnoid knowledge; that probe, launched by Catty at GF3's end, carries the in-universe origin of the technology that produces Amy's civilization. Sheet 3 follows with Patty and Rabby, both killed in GF1's first act, given the same amber ground and logo as every other character in the set.

SONG for GALL FORCE

「素顔のスパイたち」was the ending theme of GF1, released as a single (12-3H-233, Epic/CBS Sony Records) on July 2, 1986, one day before GF1's theatrical premiere. Performed by the Gall Force Eternal Band: the six GF1 voice actresses (川村万梨阿, 松井菜緒子, 山本百合子, 鶴ひろみ, 冨沢りちー, 渡辺菜生子) credited collectively as a performing unit. The GF1 LD (00LS4001) included a 13-minute bonus documentary on the single's recording, titled 「メイキング・オブ Song for GALL FORCE」. The bonus on 50LS4013 is the music video itself, approximately 3 minutes, the same title in two different productions on two different discs.

Epic Records and Sony Video Software were two different Sony Group entities; the licensing between them was internal. The title 「素顔のスパイたち」 translates loosely as 'The Spies' True Faces,' a pun on voice actresses as the hidden agents behind their characters.

50LS, 1988

The CBS/Sony LASER VISION DISC COLLECTION catalog included with 50LS4013 lists the complete SVI anime lineup at time of distribution: all three mainline GF entries, テンリトルガルフォース, 超獣機神ダンクーガ, 獣戦機隊ソングス, クリスタル・トライアングル, アップル・シード, and five additional titles. The questionnaire on the catalog reverse is labeled テンリトルガルフォース (the catalog's form of the title, without the modified vowel of the cover logo). ガルフォース3 (90LS4022, released November 1988) appears in the lineup despite テンリトル's July 1988 pressing; the insert reflects the catalog at time of distribution rather than manufacture.
