Good Smile Company turned the last surviving user of an extinct magic tradition into a figure with interchangeable spell circles.
The Details
Number: #843. Released: June 15, 2018. Designer: Based on Naoyuki Asano's character design for the 2017 anime. Accessories: 3 face plates, magical staff, magic circle effect parts, display stand.
The figure is 100mm tall. She holds a staff in her right hand. Translucent blue effect parts attach to the base — the plastic approximation of a magic circle drawn on the ground. Three interchangeable face plates: neutral, smiling, determined. The determined expression is the one that matters. It's the face Kukuri makes before she draws.
Side profile — braids articulated with ball joints, Mekemeke robe in dark navy
Kukuri is the last surviving member of the Migu Migu tribe — an extinct people whose magic involved drawing geometric circles and channelling consciousness through them. In the manga, she has no teacher. The old witch who raised her dies early. She learns by doing it wrong, interpreting the failures, and trying again. The magic system rewards emotional honesty over technical precision. This is the character Good Smile turned into Nendoroid #843.

The figure shipped in June 2018, seven months after the 2017 anime concluded. Pre-orders ran November through December 2017 via Good Smile's online shop. Character design by Naoyuki Asano, adapted from Hiroyuki Eto's original manga artwork into the chibi proportions that define the Nendoroid line. Painted ABS and PVC plastic. Magnetic joints at the neck, peg connections at the torso.
Three-quarter angle — staff raised, the eye ornament catching light
The magic circle effect parts are the detail that earns the figure its place. Most Nendoroids ship with weapons, food items, or alternate hands. Kukuri ships with spell geometry. The translucent blue pieces reconstruct the act of drawing — the core mechanic of a thirty-three-year franchise, miniaturised and mounted on a display base.
